What is sunshack ?

Sunshack is a NPC (Non-Profit-Company) which tries to improve the living conditions of local communities who need support.

Our primary focus is to provide solar energy by the installation of solar panels, batteries, solar controllers and lighting.

Our secondary focus is providing a self-sustainable energy environment through the use of intelligent solar controllers and cabling houses together, forming an off-grid energy mesh in which households (SHS) can trade energy units between each other.

We also try to enable and facilitate the access to education, since we strongly believe this is essential to pave the way for a better future.

Our Current Project

Our Mission is to improve the living conditions of a local community - the Solomon Rasta Community (Ocean View - Cape Town, South Africa).

We believe in Education !

We want to create a collaboration between teachers around the globe who are passionate about education in a rural cultural setting. This will be enabled through connectivity. Our plan is to enable the Rastafarian community (along with education stakeholders/ volunteers) to build their own Rastafarian school curriculum, a combination of relevant global topics, and enriched in cultural heritage.

Sunshack is looking for partners to enable the product development phase of the intelligent controller and payment gateways. All of the technology exists and the concepts have been successfully demonstrated. We require funding and technical expertise to move this project forward.
